Although most of our biggest attractions have already been listed here,
there are many smaller places to visits and spectacles to see that may be just as enjoyable
as the larger ones.
The woodlands, lakes, and rivers around North Queens are very beautiful–both inside
and outside the boundaries of Kejimkujik National Park. Why not stop your car at a roadside
lake and walk around a bit? Maybe you’ll find a hidden beach. Take a walk down an old
logging road–maybe you will find a beautiful spot that no one else has visited in ages.
North Queens is a real wilderness playground...explore as much of it as you can!
If you happen to stop by North Queens around Christmas time, we have some special
community events that we would love you to participate in. Stop by the Christmas Tea and
Sale, which takes place on November 6th at the North Queens Nursing Home in Caledonia.
Or, visit the North Queens Christmas Craft Sale, November 27th at the fire hall in Caledonia.
The craftspeople of North Queens are second to none, putting together spectacular quilts
and many other beautiful crafts. Finally, don’t forget the Community Tree Lighting,
a heartwarming event, taking place December 3rd at the North Queens Nursing Home.
For those who are religious, North Queens has several beautiful churches to worship in.
In our area, the Baptist, Catholic, United, and Anglican denominations all hold regular
worship in their respective churches. They would love for you to drop by on Sunday!
Finally, many visitors to North Queens come here because they want to get in touch
with their ancestral roots. For those looking for their heritage, there is a geneology research
centre located at the Heritage House in Caledonia. Also, we have many historic pioneer
cemetaries which contain the names of the first settlers, if you happen to be interested in that
sort of information.
No matter who you are and why you come to North Queens, we are confident that
you will find something interesting to do!
